5 more mandals of Srikakulam in drought hit areas list

Srikakulam District Collector Nageswara Rao announced that 5 more mandals in the Srikakulam district will be placed in the list of drought hit mandals of the state. He said that this has been done because the regions could not register good rainfall during the year.
The mandals include G.Sigadam, Ponduru, Julumuru, Tekkali, Kanchili which were included in the second list of drought hit areas of the state.
He said that a letter to this effect has been sent to the Government of Andhra Pradesh on 29th September 2004.
