Students gets AIDS Awareness Training

The District Medical and Health Officer K.Jaganmohana Rao on Monday said Voluntary Counseling and Testing Centers for awareness on AIDS were set up at eight Government Hospitals in the district. One PPTC centre was set up at the Government Headquarters Hospital to prevent transmission of AIDS from mother to child.
People should be encouraged to make use of these facilities, Dr. Rao said, addressing workshop on 'Talk AIDS' aimed at creating awareness among lecturers of different colleges at the ZP meeting hall. Lecturers could influence the thinking of students who were vulnerable he said. As many as 22,000 students were given training under TALK AIDS program.
