Thousands of devotees offered prayers to the Sun God at the famous Arasaviilli temple in Srikakulam district on Saturday on Radhasaptami. The festival is the most important in the Magha maasam of the Telugu Calendar. Special Abhishekams, ksheerannabhogam and special alankarams were witnessed during the daylong festival, which began around midnight of Friday.
Devotees from North Andhra and the neighboring Orissa were seen in large numbers visiting the temple. The premises and the queue complexes were full starting midnight itself.
