MRPS activists held

In a swoop on the activists of Madiga Reservation Porta Samithi (MRPS) which gave a call for Kurukshetram to press for their demand for classification of SCs, police arrested at least 40 persons in the district on Wednesday.

The MRPS had been mobilizing its cadre to attend the meeting in Hyderabad where the AICC plenary session is scheduled to take place on January 21.

The MRPS chief Manda Krishna announced that their activists would lay siege to Hyderabad city if an announcement by Congress was not made before plenary.
