Farmers and tenants of Kambirigam village organizes a rally
Communist Party of India State secretary K. Narayana was arrested on a complaint from the MRO, Palasa and produced in the court of Judicial First Class Magistrate on Saturday was brought to the sub jail on Sunday. He was remanded till November 25. Meanwhile, the farmers and tenants of Kambirigam village organized a rally seeking withdrawal of cases filed against the CPI leader and other six and steps to distribute Kambirigam lands to tenants. The rally went around the main streets of Palasa and reached the MRO office where a memorandum was submitted. Meanwhile, CPI (M) State Committee on Sunday condemned the arrest of K. Narayana and others. CPI State Secretary BV Raghavulu in a statement sought immediate release of those arrested and dropping of cases against them.
