Mineral water project to come up

Trimex Industries Limited to invest Rs. 200 crores

As a part of developing the Srikakulam district, Trimex Industries Limited (TIL) with an investment of Rs. 200 crore is coming up at Vachhavalsa in Gara mandal. The mineral development company has obtained all necessary clearances from various Governmental organizations and will commence the work in the coastal village soon.

The TIL will extract and refine five types of minerals from the beach sand on the coast line. The minerals are stated to have a good market demand and export potential. The project is expected to be completed by the next year and production would start by March 2008. The Company is also laying an 8km pipeline from Gara to Vachhavalsa to draw Vamsadara water for its industrial needs. The TIL has singed a Memorandum of Understanding with an Australian Company for technical assistance. The company will generate indirect employment to a large number of people and direct employment to 600 people.
