The Sarpanch of Battili Village, Sasanapuri Anand was abducted by some unidentified persons early in the morning at about 7:00 AM. He was put at gunpoint near Sitampeta The adbucters released Anand by evening at a garden in Puliputti after roughening him. The police who was looking in the incident feels that this might not be the act of the Maoists.
