District Collector orders probe into 14-year old girl pregnancy

Television channel videographer held for 3 hours

The District Collector VN Vishnu ordered a probe into the 14-year old school going girl becoming pregnant. The girl is identified as from the Government Residential School for Girls. She is sent to the Parhapatnam area hospital for examination. The parents of the girl said that she was sexually abused because of negligence of the school staff.

Meanwhile, a videographer of a private television channel who went the school to cover the episode was held by the villagers and the school staff for over three hours. He was released when the staff of the television channel discussed and pacified the villagers.
