Two MLAs belonging to Congress and Telugu Desam Party come to blows in the DRC meeting at Srikakulam. The scuffle took place at the District Review Meeting (DRC) that forced its adjournment midway through day. MLAs K Murali Mohan of Congress and K Jogulu of TDP, Palakonda fight, tearing each other shirts. Nearly after an hour the meeting began under the chairmanship of the Housing Minister, B Satyanaryana, the Jogulu sought an explanation for the delay in grounding Indiramma scheme in three villages in his constituency. He complained his pleas to get the project going had fallen on deaf ears. He also alleged that the Minister was indifferent to the promises made to the beneficiaries. While listing out his grievances, Jogulu went up to the dais and refused to back out demanding that he should get a satisfactory reply but after a short while, his angry outbursts, the MLA resumed his seat heeding the minister's request to cooperate with him. Soon after, Murali Mohan stood up and took strong objection to Jogulu's behavior incurring his retaliation. As the mood got surcharged, Murali Mohan caught Jogulu by his shirt and was in turn pushed for being audacious. While the two MLAs appeared to be in no mood to relent, the minister and others left the scene, ending abruptly.
