MLAs lodges complaint in police station against each other
At a review meeting on Indiramma Housing Scheme, the scuffle between two MLAs K Murali Mohan of Congress and K Jogulu of TDP turn a serious turn on Friday with the MLAs lodging complaints in the one town police station on each other. According to the Superintendent of Police, Manish K Singh said that the investigating officer was taking the statements of those present at the meeting. The TDP took strong objection to the rude behavior of Murali Mohan and demanding his arrest. The protesters burnt the effigies of Murali Mohan at a few places in Palakonda constituency. The TDP leaders will submit a memorandum to the District Collector on Saturday seeking appropriate action against the Congress MLA for attacking the TDP MLA Jogulu and thereby lowering the dignity of Constitutional posts. Meanwhile, the Srikakulam MP K Yerran Naidu said that there was clear evidence of the attack by Murali Mohan and sought stern action against the Congress MLA. He said that the issue would be raised in the Assembly sessions. Meanwhile, the District Congress Committee president and Amadalavalasa MLA B Satyavati said that it was an unfortunate incident and the both the MLAs are to be faulted for their actions.
