Says Mission and purpose achieved
The Chief Minister, Dr.YS Rajasekhara Reddy on Thursday after formally releasing the water into the right main canal of Vamsadara project at Krishnapuam said that the mission and purpose of his life has been achieved. The right main canal with an ayacut of 62,280 acres heralds completion of an important stage of the Rs.950 crore Vamsadara project. He said that work on other irrigation projects in the district like Thotapalli reservoir and the Madduvalsa extension were progressing on war footing and would be completed with a couple of years. He said preliminary work on the Rs. 130 crore up shore reservoir was completed and tenders would be called in the next month. He criticized the CPI (M)'s land struggle of occupying Government ands when the Government was committed to give houses for all eligible people in a phased manner under Indiramma programme. He congratulated he Self Help Groups for ushering a silent revolution.
