Thousands of devotees participated in the yagam
In tune with the Vedic traditions, Mahasowrayagam was organized a the famous Sri Suryanarayana Swamy temple situated at Arasavilli in Srikakulam district in the presence of thousands of devotees on Monday. Sri Swaroopanandenra Swamy of Sarada Peetham performed 'Kalasa Stapana' to mark the beginning of the worship of Lord Sri Suryanarayana Swamy. The yagam is mainly aimed at ensuring world peace and saving the people from calamities. The Mahasowrayagam was performed in 42 Homagundams from 8am to till the evening. 150 priests from different temples conducted rituals under the supervision of the main priest, I Sankara Sarma. Agni Pratisha was done in the evening by Sad guru Krishnayaji. The District Collector VN Vishnu, Endowments Department assist Commissioner Ch V Krishnaji and the temple Executive Officer K Ramachandra Raju were prominent persons who attended among others.
