Police conducts raids on illegal crackers shops

27 persons arrested, crackers worth over Rs.1.4 lakhs seized

The police raided 64 illegal cracker shops and fire works manufacturing units in the district during the past one month and registered 20 cases. They also arrested 27 persons and seized crackers worth over Rs.1.4 lakh during the raids. They also seized the raw material that is required for preparation of crackers are also seized.

The Superintendent of Police Manish Kumar Singh said shop licenses were issued to 44 persons in the district and urged the people to inform the police about illegal manufacturing and sale of fire works on phone number 1090.
