Devotees witness rare event in Sun God temple

Fresh rays of Sun touch the feet of Sun God lasted for six minutes
The twice in a year event of nascent sun rays touching the lotus feet of Lord Sri Suryanarayana Swamy at Arasavilli temple was witnessed by a large number of devotees around 6am on Tuesday. According to temple authorities, every year, this mystical event is witnessed on October 1,2 and 3 and March 9, 10 and 11. However, the event was not witnessed on October 1. The fresh rays of the sun touch the feet of the idol first and caress the entire body and vanish at the tip of the ornamental crown. Ecstatic devotees eagerly wait for the corwing glory that lasts for six minutes.
