Devotee offers Golden Aswa Kavacham worth Rs. 1,42,700 offered to Sun God at Arasavalli

The KVR group head Kotta Venkata Rao has offered a 'Aswa Kavacham' made of gold to the Sri Suryanarayana Swamy temple at Arasavalli in Srikakulam. Venkata Rao is an ardent devotee of the Sun god.

The temple authorities told the media that with this donation the temple has received all the seven Swarna Aswa Kavachams and golden shields to all the seven horses of the Sun God's chariot. Temple EO Mutyala Rao said that a devotee from Visakhapatnam offered to donate for Rs. 35 lakh for the construction of queue complex. The new queue complex once constructed would manage the extra rush of devotees on Sundays and other auspicious days.

The temple has also approached the Tourism department for the construction of a parking complex which it has already allocated 62 cents of land.
